My Wishlist: February

I have been dying to do a blog post on this topic and it took me ages to figure out how to do it, but it is finally here! This is a random range of items that I have had my eye on for a while and I thought it would be cool to share in case any of you were aware of the cheap dupes available out there and could help a girl out, ya know! I’m going to list them and share what I love about them and why they have caught my eye in the unique way that they have – oh, and I mention where they are available in case any of you are interested – just give the image a click to take you to the site.

Tassel Earrings:
If you know me, you know that I rarely wear earrings and that has not been because my ears are not pierced – no, my mama has had these ears pierced from a young age. I just never felt I had the right look for them and thought that I would look too girly. I honestly feel people who can pull off earrings have to have a certain air to their dressing. I always thought I fell short in that area when it came to earrings. That is until the tassel trend began! A special mention goes out to the influencers on Instagram that rock these earrings with ease and finesse – you give a girl confidence. These earrings is probably the closest I could get to rocking tassels. They come in a variety of colours, my favourite being the navy and the black. They work with any outfit if you want to add a bit of some flair. I am really hoping to get my hands on these at some point! They are available at H&M for the price of R150 each.

Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
If you didn’t know already, I am a bookworm – I literally spend majority of my days reading, whether they are law books or fiction. I had promised myself that the minute I finish my dissertation, I am buying this book from a bargain book store. The book is essentially the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook’s guide to women in the industry. She explores themes which discuss women’s role in the workplace – and if you know my area of law then you know this is the best buy. It retails for approximately R175 at the takealot online store, so I am hoping this is the first item I check off my list.
Longchamp Black Tote (Pliage)
So this is a big-ticket item – I know! But I must have a massive one, especially since these bags are just the most elegant and low maintenance bags out there. I have the navy backpack le pliage and it has served me really well over the last 3 years. I use it on a lot of the summer days and when I don’t feel like using my overly filled cross body bag. These are quite popular and have enormous amounts of space despite how tiny they appear. Also, I am all about the black nowadays – I think I am transitioning from the colour life. Annoyingly, the price differs worldwide so it is all dependant on where you live. This is definitely going to be a save up for the year. If you have this bag already, what are your thoughts? Is it worth the buy? Let me know!

Artificial Orchid
Screen Shot 2018-02-13 at 11.07.46For those that know me – I can’t look after a plant for more than a week. Don’t get me wrong, I love plants, I am just terrible at looking after them because I can never tell what room temperature and amount of sunlight is suitable. Funnily enough I have stumbled across some artificial plants and my favourite being the white orchid or white roses. I especially love any white flowers because they naturally brighten everything so having an artificial one almost leaves the same sort of feel as a real one without the maintenance! This one is available @Home for R 149

Benefit BADgal BANG Volumising Mascara
Screen Shot 2018-02-13 at 11.08.54Retailing from R175 – 355 (depending on size), this is the newest edition to Benefit’s makeup range. I have been on the hunt for a really effective mascara. I currently use “L’Oreal’s False Lash Wings Sculpt” and since that mascara is coming to an end, I figured it was time to branch out and try out a new brand altogether. I have heard good reviews but until I try it myself, I don’t want to judge. Here is hoping I can try it out soon! Have you tried it yet? Would you say it is worth it?

So there you go! My five wish list items and their details all up and ready. I want to set goals so that every few month I can buy a new item through my savings. Even though some of these items are slightly pricey, I will definitely try my best. If you guys know any dupes or similar styled products then hit me up in the comments section below! I hope you enjoyed this read – share with me your wishlist items for the month and let me know if you have any of these items.

Till next post,
